Mothballed Redundant Powerplant at the Port of Tacoma, WA

Problem:

AMS Group was sought out by a client with a crated, unused power plant stored in a tight open, enclosed warehouse at the Port of Tacoma, Washington.

Solution:

Offering specialized services, AMS tailored a program to safely and efficiently relocate and recycle the entire moth-balled plant, as well as provide a sustainability report for the complete decommissioning.

Our tailored program included a combination of efficient rigging to relocate large pieces of equipment. AMS also closely followed proprietary processing procedures to safely decommission large equipment at the port, ensuring the project was fully compliant with agencies such as Port Authority - Tacoma, Washington, Tacoma Fire Department, State of Washington Department of Ecology, City of Tacoma, and OSHA.
